TracFone Wireless Incorporation is a mobile virtual network (prepaid) operator based in the locations such as the United States, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. IMEI: The user has to then enter his or her IMEI or MDEI or serial number on the page which shows up next.
Terms & Conditions: The user has to then accept the Terms and Conditions on the page.
Zip code: The page prompt is going to ask for a Zip or Postal Code, which the user has to provide.
Plan Selection: In the next page, the user has to select a plan and click on Continue. If the user hasn’t purchased the SIM already, he or she has to pay USD 0.99 extra along with the price of the plan.
Payment and Activation: The user has to then pay for the plan and then the activation process will be initiated with respect to his or her TracFone services.
Originally, TracFone service was just limited to all the TracFone-branded phones, which were locked only to the TracFone services provided using just an internal SIM card. However, in the year 2013, TracFone unveiled a new variety of phones called Bring Your Own Phone, thus eventually selling SIM cards that could possibly be inserted into qualifying non-TracFone phones (such as Verizon CDMA phones) so as to register them with TracFone.
In 2015, this program which was eventually renamed to “Bring Your Own Device”, was also extended to compatible unlocked phones with GSM network providers.
